THE CONGO CHOIR

Oh, I just don't know where to start... THE CONGO CHOIR IS BEAUTIFUL... We went to the airport today and wanted to greet the choir members as they arrived. Most of them couldn't speak english and very few of us could speak french, so the only words we knew to say was "allah'u'abha"... after the greeting, we all hugged each other... and the choir began to sing and drum (some of the friends brought drums) for us... There we were, in the middle of baggage claim, singing and dancing our hearts out of pure JOY!!! It was so inspiring... I had tears in my eyes-- we were all just soooo moved... They are a really wonderful group of people who just have such a powerful presence... All the people in the airport gathered around to hear them sing... no one cared about their bags... It was really just awsome!! I can't wait to see the performence... For those of you who live in the South Eastern states, you should look out for them... they are starting their tour now and will end in D.C. - with a performence at the kennedy center... I will never forget the experience!!
