feel turkey tired

in life, we cook, we eat, we play, we sleep... it's not natural to do all that and keep working.... but somehow this is MY situation....

we made not ONE, but TWO turkeys.... those are some big birds --- let me tell you... and when you stuff them, better be ready to get down and dirty... it's not like stuffing a bag with paper... it's almost like stuffing a real human being... it took me a while to psychologically prepare for that... after the turkeys, we made the veggies, natasha made some pies... we made the mash potatoes and natasha made her dad's famous gravy... people came over and brought TONS of food... it was a FEAST!!!!

With natasha, Evan and naysan in town, we had to do it right! We had the Ravanbaksh -tofighian/lenzen-masumi families over!!! Along with more of the friends! It was FUN... only thing... I had to work that same night....

My cousin Dayheem spends the night with the family and works in the day... i work in through the night and sleep in the morning and try to visit during the rest of the day... so we take turns visiting with them... dayheem and i barely see each other any more... and nadia is off taking care of someones house... so she pops by when she can... she's also preparing for the lsat... it's a tense time for her, but soon she will be over it... it's nice to have family around, too bad we are never together at the same time...

i know i am just rambling all over the place... but this is because my body and mind are not all there right now... i will end on saying - one thing i have learned....

turkey makes me tired...

love and justice

i had to give two weeks notice to my tenant... she's been late on rent every month... (last month she ended up paying me on the 25th.... this month she hasn't paid me yet... every check she has ever written me has bounced...

it's a difficult thing to do to someone, but after all the trouble she has caused me, i had to get the courage to face her and give her the notice... then I had to go to court and file a dispossessory charge... the funny thing is that i didn't know all this stuff before... got a call from an old time friend who said she was really thinking about me and wondering if i was ok... come to find out, she's taken this thousand dollar landlord course in Georgia that taught her all the laws and legal procedures to handle this type of thing.... she emailed me all the forms i needed and now i am at this point...

i was worried about kicking my tenant out, because i didn't think i could find someone for December.... but another miracle happened... jamila called and asked me yesterday if i still had the condo and if it was available... she new someone that was looking to move in dec. 1st... we have since connected and he really can't wait to get in there...

i tell you, i wasn't sure if i was doing the right thing before, but all these confirmations make me feel like i am on the right path... it's hard to kick someone out of their home... the tenant really made it a difficult process... but i had to stick to my ground... now i am only hoping she leaves in peace...
